The NSW government is giving small businesses in NSW a discount on their fees by providing a rebate of $1500 on their fees & charges.

The rebate will be available from April 2021 until 30 June 2022.

How it works

  • Eligible businesses only need to apply for the rebate once.
  • You can submit multiple claims until the full value of $1500 is reached.
  • Use this money to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges.
  • Only one $1500 rebate is available for each ABN.
  • Funds can be used to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges. These include, but are not limited to:
  1. food authority licences
  2. liquor licences
  3. tradesperson licences
  4. event fees
  5. outdoor seating fees
  6. council rates.
  • The rebate can only be used for eligible fees and charges due and paid from 1 March 2021.
  • It cannot be used for fines or penalties, fees and charges that have the key purpose of discouraging behaviours or inducing behaviour changes, Commonwealth government charges, rent on government premises, or taxes.
  • For each claim you make, you will need to provide invoices and receipts showing payment of eligible fees or charges.
